Where to buy blind boxes
Sealed boxes at retail, online and in person, plus what unopened boxes resell for.
A blind box is a sealed box with one figure inside, and you do not know which one until you open it. That is the whole game: the box costs $12 to $28 at retail, the chase figure inside can be worth ten times that, and the sealed box itself has value too. Buy at the official store first, because it is always cheapest. The links below go to the official store, Amazon, and sealed boxes on eBay for each brand.
Sonny Angel
Blind boxes $12.25 to $13.75 at retail. 12 regulars + 2 secrets in most series; the secret is a 1-in-144 pull.
Smiski
Blind boxes $12.25 at retail. 6 regulars + 1 secret per series; the secret is a 1-in-144 pull.
Labubu
Blind boxes $27.99 at retail. 6 regulars + 1 secret in the main series; drops sell out in minutes.
Disney Doorables
Blind boxes $9.49 to $24.99 at retail. Multi Peek blind boxes; commons, rares, ultra-rares, and 1-of-100 specials.
Sealed boxes resell unopened, too
Some people never open the box. A sealed box of a sold-out series trades above retail on eBay, because the buyer is paying for the chase: the chance of pulling the secret, plus a box they can gift or keep sealed. Sealed boxes of a series still in stock sell at retail, so there is no margin there. To price a sealed box, search eBay sold listings for that exact series and use the sold price, not the asking price. And check the seals: resealed boxes exist, and a box that has been opened and resealed is worth the opened price, not the sealed one. Read how to spot a fake before you pay a premium for any sealed box.
Two brands on this site are not blind boxes. Sanrio and Jellycat are open plush and charms: you see the piece before you buy it. Their buy links are on their Sanrio and Jellycat pages and on every series page.
Frequently asked questions
Should I buy a sealed box or a single figure?
A sealed box if you enjoy the surprise and the price is retail. A single figure if you want one specific character: buying the figure on the secondary market costs more than the box but guarantees the pull.
Can I make money reselling unopened boxes?
Sometimes. Sealed boxes of sold-out series trade above retail on eBay because collectors want the chase. Sealed boxes of a series still in stock sell at retail, so there is no margin. Check eBay sold listings for that exact series before you buy to flip.
How do I know a sealed box is really sealed?
Buy from the official store or a trusted seller. Check the box seals and the shrink wrap, and compare the box against the photos on the series page here. Resealed boxes exist, and a box that has been opened and resealed is worth the opened price, not the sealed one.
